EBM Series DC Brake Kit:

EBM Series of Brakes are Spring Applied Safety Brakes available as modular accessory for MEZ stock motors.
The frame size availability is 71 to 160 frame.
Brake motors can be delivered assembled or the brake kit can be purchased, however general technical knowledge will be required to mount
the Brake Kit on the standard MEZ off the shelf electric motors.
The standard brakes come wound for 205V DC and with Full Wave Rectifier suitable for 230V 50Hz supply.
A Half Wave Rectifiers suitable for 400V 50Hz are available upon request.

Force Ventilation Units:

Recommended when speed of the electric motors is controlled by frequency inverters.
Force Ventilation Units consist of a special fan cover where a fan is driven by an independent electric motor. The terminal box for the fan motor is mounted on top of the fan cover.
The independent fan is designed to provide the same (or more) cooling air that is normally delivered by the motors' shaft fan at the rated speed. Degree of protection is IP66.

Encoders for speed control and positioning:
In order to control the speed of electric motors accurately a use of Incremental Encoder as a feedback for Variable Speed Drives (Frequency Inverters) is often necessary.
Variety of encoders from various manufactures are available, which includes encoders from two major EU manufacturers: Hübner and IED.
Due to the nature of our market we use high specification encoders in IP66 and stainless steel casing both HTL and TTL and usually 1024ppr or 2048ppr.
