From 1st January 2017 there is a legal requirement to install and operate IE3 motors (2pole, 4pole & 6pole, 0.75kW - 375kW).
The ErP Directive 2005/32/EC and the COMMISSION REGULATION (EC) No. 640/2009 refer.
IE2 motors are legal to be used with Variable Speed Drives.
There is no restriction on selling stocks manufactured prior to the ErP Directive implementation dates.
For motor sizes larger than 200kW please select IE3 or IE4 selector
